Het Rare Groove Orchestra bestaat sinds 2003 en brengt ‘groovy shit for the masses’. Die ‘shit’ bestaat uit funk, soul en souljazz. Waar ze ook optraden, overal kregen ze de zaal plat. In oktober vorig jaar verscheen hun cd The Rare Groove Orchestra. De muziekpers was laaiend enthousiast: ‘From the first to the last tone, your adrenaline level will be maximized by tight beats, fuzzy licks and the fat sound of Hammond’ (KindaMuzik), en PlayPaper: ‘Screaming guitars, sweaty drums and that great Hammond sound. […] Raw and pure funk, the kind of stuff we would like to hear much more the coming years.’
